Had plans for my first fluke trip of the year as the water is slowly warming and reports of the small seabass moving in (thanks OE). My friend and I were gonna go a little deep and try some snags to see if they were on the rocks. Left SRI went north first stop started slow then got the first bite which was the first keeper just shy of 18". Bounced around on a very slow bite of 16" fish until we found a little stretch that had fish on it! Made 4 drifts on that piece which gave 6 more keepers 4 of them over 5 pounds but none over 6.5 pounds! Got nervous when the swell flopped out and dark sky to the south! Started looking at radar and figured to time to take the slow ride back home! Nice first day 7 keeps for two guys on nice fish! Ill take that all year long
