Default Anyone been to the big lakes post-rain?

Looking to get to LH or GWL tonight, anyone been out since the rains? I know LH is no wake, unsure of GWL. Curious to know if the higher water levels and cooler water temps slowed things down or not.

havent been to LH since last monday when I yanked the big boat out for a motor swap. I have heard its hit or miss but guys were still going out, and the weeds are a huge problem right now. The harvesters were out recently and the winds/rain has surface weeds everywhere. As the lake lowers the damn weeds will have grown to the top of current water levels and then be thick as hell as it drops. Supposed to rain hard 2moro too, so no wake will continue for a while at least thru the weekend for sure. Im gonna pull my little boat out of the garage and try it later in the week/weekend. Wont be back at it hardcore til the no wake gets lifted, I gotta break this new motor in for 2 hrs and need lotsa room to hit 50 mph+ send reports if you go out, maybe GWL is a better option if eyes is your main course

I was on hopatcong yesterday doing a little scouting after fishing budd all day. Water is extremely high and it's very weed choked. I.l be going out Friday night so hopefully after all these storms the fish will be hungry. Let us know how you do.

Btw nobody on that damn lake yesterday got the no wake memo except me. I was the only jerk putting around.

Oh and the water was 69/70 throughout the lake. Was my first time there this year but I have to imagine that's down at least a few degrees.

Thanks for the info guys. We got out on LH. Water was high, less boats out but still many clueless morons ignoring the No Wake conditions. Mixed bag of Hybrids, Walleye, Bass and Perch.

Same areas as before after dark? You must have been throwing something different. I know bass and perch weren't hitting those f18s.
