Headed out of Leonardo ramp early today and ran into some huge pods of bunker and nice reading of fish on the screen. Live lined for a while but no takers. Switched to our target fish of Fluke and started picking away at them. Ended the day with 3 keeps and @ 12 throwbacks with some Bluefish and skates. Ran back to be greeted at the ramp by F+G officers checking boats. Our officer was pretty cool and asked us to measure our smallest fish, an 18 incher for him and we were on our way. Nice day out and good start to the season with water temps, etc.
