Went out with a group of guys from work on an annual charter trip on a NS boat.
First fish in the boat a coctail blue

I hook the same model that comes unbuttoned at the boat. Lots of moves and then BAM... my first striper of the year in the boat and I have to say "that is what they look like" to the other 8 guys.
We traveled to the north, to the south, to the north, to the south etc. looking.
We located a batch of smaller blues and everyone had a few in the boat. This is the GUESS WHO part of the title post....the invasion has begun
The fleet caught more of these guys from what I saw than stripers...just saying
Last drift of the day and BAM again...second striper of the day for me going 33+ inches!
We managed 20+ cocktail blues and just the two stripers...Got my limit out of the gate! Man the wind was honking and the ocean was rolling. Worst part, my camera's battery was dead

Buddy took picks of the evidence and I may post upon receipt of the promised pics. Sent my friends home with the meat as I am still eating ling and blackfish from last year.
