Default FISHERMEN/Mondays Crew Great fishing!@

Good conditions with an incoming tide and light easterly breeze had the bite turned on right from the start today! Doc, Anchor Joe, Eddie, Richie, Eddie and several other Monday regs made their first trip today to be rewarded with a very good bite on fish up to 20 lbs!! Rich Appert, PA took his second pool in two weeks with another fish that made 38 inches, 20 pounds!
Limits all around for a great bunch of guys who didn't listen to the weather man. Picks and Video tell the rest of the story.

Don't wait too long, the bite is on now!!

PLEASE, I'm begging you if you do fish with us, leave the braid at home! Nothing but major problems the past few days with the current and tangles that keep Myself and the crew tied up messing with that crap while the bite is on. Thanks.

Amen with reference to the braid.

Can't even begin to describe the amount of problems it caused on Sunday.

Hi guys - thanks for the reports and posts!

Most of my reels are filled with braid and have been for years now. It seems like forever since I fished with mono. I've only fished a couple of times on party boats as I mostly go out on charters or with friends on their boat. Are there certain species (fluke) or times of the week that braid is OK on the party boat or should mono always be used?

I'll convert one of my spinning reels to mono for an upcoming trip - thanks for the advice.

Why leave the braid at home? I exclusively fish with braid as mono just doesn't do the job as well as braid does.

For party boat fishing, I use braid on all my conventional setups for bottom fishing; fluke, blackfish, etc. It's just up and down reeling with those species. When fishing for blues, stripers and other fish that are all over the place when hooked up, can't beat mono when the lines get tangled. Just my two cents.

I've used braid plenty of times on party boats and especially on the fishermen and I never had a problem. I agree it could become a pain especially to those fishermen out there with not so much experience.
