Default Boat Ramp Highlands Area?

Looking for some intell on a good boat ramp to fish SH and bay - Is the Leonardo State Marina ramp open?

What other ramps are in the area - willing to pay to launch if we can get a decent ramp or launch service

Thanks

The Leonardo State Marina ramp is open - $25.00 a day

I note that the web tells me that the ramp might be a problem at low tide - how bad is it?

Any other ramps in the area or on the Shrewsbury River?

All depends on the size of your boat and tow vehicle... Smaller lighter boats with decent 4 wheel drive tow vehicle should have no issues even at low tide.

If you have a larger boat I would avoid the lauch ramp a few hours on either side of dead low tide.

Be real careful how far down the ramp you go , there used to be a 3' vertical drop off at the end. I was told that years ago they cut the ramp off because it extended into the channel too far. About 16 years ago I had my first boat, a 22' sport craft cuddy. And I dropped my rear trailer wheels over the drop , it was a nightmare.
