Hit the Pequest today where I immediately hooked up to a high flying rainbow that threw the hooks. Then very slow rest of time there so took a ride to Hainesburgh on the Paulinskill where I nailed this 16-17 fat brookie and a gorgeous rainbow which missed the plug...I recasted twitched twice...and fish on! All the winter trout in full spawning regalia, fat and BIG! The rainbow was absolutely stunning....this pic doesn't do it justice....silver, olive, bronze, pink stripe.....like steelhead....enjoy! Also found out that the concrete viaduct here was the largest concrete structure in the world in 1932...how's that for a history lesson! Capt. Dave
