Hey Red, What kinda reel did you have matched up with this? The only hesitation I have with this is that I usually fish with heavier braided lines than 50# offshore.

I would use either my Avet HXJ (tilefish/seabass) or HX (tuna).
Both are loaded with 65# power pro, but the HX has @ 100 yards of 50# mono topshot.
