Default Ocean Explorer Thursday

1-3-13 Pretty day offshore today,,,winds were light and the seas for a change were nearly flat...The water cooled down 5 degrees out there from what it has been but it did not seem to hurt the fishing..Loads of life again today,,as soon as you hit bottom you getting a bite..The perch were chewing up the baits but in between we slowly picked away at the Ling,,,some did good,,,Jerry Brown had fifteen ling,,,another had ten,,,,they were bouncing gulp ghost shrimps or swimming minnows on the bottom....In between that we had some Codfish again,,,some Pollock,,,and some real nice sea bass....Also a couple of keeper Togs rounded off the catch...Pretty decent day overall and everyone took home some really good eating fish...Check out some pics...See ya tomorrow...

Unless its blowing over 30kts..we will be fishing 10-20 mile wrecks and rocks everyday the rest of the winter for the Togs,Cods,Lings,Sea Bass,Pollocks,,,etc....If it is to nasty we can fish closer to the beach as long as the water does not get to cold....Best depth we have found this week has been in the 90-130ft.range...That might change if the water keeps getting colder and colder....Crazy year so far so anyones guess what we shall see this winter..So far I am happy with the life,,we shall see....
