The outflow pipe repairs have been completed and the lake has been steadily filling up over the past two weeks. This last rain storm really helped. I drive by it everyday on my way to work.
Does anyone know what the state has planned as far as restocking the lake? |

Did they ever remove ALL the fish in there? Damn shame too, I really enjoyed fishing that lake

Yeah that last storm seemed to do the trick. It looks like a lake again. Never did get around to walking the shoreline and taking pics while it was empty... oh well.

Yeah it does look like a lake again. When I drove by the other day, I saw a lake at where 537 crosses 539. Anyone know anything about that lake?

Looking forward to see the re-birth of this lake. Any plans for esocids?

NJF&W does not raise chain pickerel @ the hatchery. I would think that there are probably some remaining, there, that will eventually repopulate the lake. Pike or muskies were never stocked, there. Prospertown's resident fish population needs to recoup, first, before considering introducing more predators. Large esocids are stocked in lakes that have an abundance of gizzard shad that they can predate upon. |
