Default 3 Raritan River questions

1. What is in the NJF&G stocking code that does not allow them to stock trout below the rt 206 overpass?

not sure if these factors contribute:

2. What affect does the Johns Manville site have on the river?

3. How has the Dow Chemical superfund cleanup site at Bound Brook affected the water quality?

well the johns manville site they capped under concrete and built the walmart and movie theaters on top of back in the late 90s. afaik, the primary concern there was asbestos so, being it's a naturally occurring mineral, that should be pretty safe as long as it is not getting stirred up (which it isn't, because it is encased in concrete).

Trout? As per Shawn Crouse- "the 2012-2013 fish code does not allow us to stock trout below the Route 206 bridge".

one thing to note, the biologists can say where the trout *should* be stocked, the truck guys say where they *do* get stocked.

just sayin'
