Baitrunner 4500 Married to a ???

Thanksgiving 2011, a tenant and his girl moved out of a house my wife owns.
He left in the basement, a Shimano Baitrunner 4500 , married up to a Jarvis Walker ? two-piece 8 foot MH rod.
I called him 4 times with no response the first six months, now his abandoned stuff is mine. I only want the baitrunner.
I put some new Power pro and a mono topshot on it. His other rusted junk is going out.

I don't like the 8 foot 2 piece rod. What is a good rod to marry-up the baitrunner with for party-boat stripers & blues ?
I use my Penn Battle 5000 & a 7' M Tsunami Airwave on my buddy's boat.
Looking for a bit sturdier 7 footer for PB, but don't want to break the bank.
I'll trade the 8 foot 2-piece if anyone is interested. PM me. It's in good shape versus the other terminal tackle stuff he left.
