Fished the big river from 715-430. Boated 6 Walleye by 9 am between 18.5 and 23 inches. After that banged out some Smallies but nothing big. All fish caught on various jigs. By the time I pulled the boat out of the water the Walleye tally for the day was at 9. 8 Eyes were keepers and only 1 short. It was a beautiful 56 degrees when I pulled up to the ramp this morning. The fishing died down around 1 when the sun came out, after that I put some big baits down and had 1 good run off which caused my reel to overspool causing a big birds nest and a missed Striper. Lakes might be a little slow right now but the river is on FIRE! Whos having walleye dinner tonight and tomorrow? THIS GUY! TIGHT LINES!!!
