this morning was a let down ad i feel like i got up at 5 am for nothing. hit a local lake and got one dink at 10" on a popper. missed a few others on a fluke and a brush hog. Later that afternoon went to Brainerd lake and missed 2 more hits...left there early since the action was almost dead in the rain. on the way home i made one more stop at a secret location. besides snagging a snapping turtle, i was into fish right away. got 2 bass on a hard stickbait then lost it to a toothy pickerel. switched over to a plain old white/chart. tandem spinnerbait and was into fish again. caught 6 more including this pig, which weighed 3.5 lbs but only 16" long . Had a 13.5" girth also. I doubt i'll ever catch something this fat again
