Default Fishin With Dad

Took dad fishing yesterday since the fam was over on Sunday. He hasn't been in a while but I figured he'd love to go. So off to Clinton Rd we went.

Man I wish I had a video camera. I'm talkin comedy show . Lost a few lures, broke the tip off a rod, and at one point, a rod got hooked on dads lure and casted into the water. Almost took a swim trying to grab it, and the net didn't work either. Luckily the line attached to it got caught in the motor so the rod didn't sink and I got it back. Throw in some serious tangled lines and it was a complete day.

Even with all the mishaps, we laughed it all off and had a great time. I had caught 2 nice smallies and hooked into a third so I handed the pole to dad like he used to. Few minutes later, a 3# smallie jumps and spits the hook on em. Then he hooks a long pickerel on a spinner which proceeds to saw off the line boatside. Damn. He did manage to land a nice 2.5# on his favorite lure, arbogast jitterbug. Good times.........
