5:30am to 9 today and it was my best day there...caught the 5 below plus a LMB the size of my biggest last week...maybe slightly bigger, but i didnt get to snap a shot of him, jumped off my thumb before i got a chance to snap the shot
and before anyone says anything about the glove, its not that i dont like touching fish, its only a fish but since i do C&R ill wear a glove...keepers I wont...only cuz our body temp is twice that of a fish and although they don't feel the burn at first because their bodies are in shock they'll feel it later and their chance of survival after the catch is decreased...forgot where i read that but yeah it makes sense i guess... the 3 long thin ones im not sure on cuz i never caught them before but its either pick, pike or muskie...pick is my guess but i could be wrong, colored one im thinking perch and the other one i have no clue but if it helps with an ID it had teeth...kinda looks like a rock bass but i could be wrong on that too...not a bad 3.5 hours on an 'overpressured' lake |

Nice catches!
I was always told that you should try to avoid holding the fish on their bodies because it'll take the natural oils off that they need to keep them protected.....or something like that. |

nice fish!! however, sorry to say that holding them with a work glove like that is much worse than just lipping the bass like normal. you are removing their slime coat and squeezing their internal organs...i've caught thousands of bass in my lifetime and never once had a problem releasing it after lipping it like normal...ps...if ya want some big bass try Darlington park right up the road from scarlet oak pond...lots of weeds but some big mama's in there
