I was fishing for bass in a local Burlington county pond and caught a cross between a sunfish and a largemouth bass. You can see in the pictures that it has the body of a sunfish but the head is a largemouth. Strangest thing I have ever seen. Has anyone ever caught one of these?

I always think Warmouth or Google eye.

Could be a big green sunfish.

It doesn't have the pattern of a warmouth. I would say a really big green sunfish.

You may be right, I have caught a lot of fish and this was a first. I should have taken a picture with it's mouth open. It's mouth was hinged, like a bass. Look at this picture of a green sunfish. It doesn't have a hinged mouth. I still think it is a cross breed.
