took the kids out again today

since sunday theyve been wanting to go out more than i do so i said WTH why not...my daughter caught 2 cats on night crawlers (this being the bigger of the 2) and one perch while my son and i got skunked...another good time

got the worms this morning and told the two of them i got them, my daughter says "YOURE PUTTING THE WORMS ON THE HOOK" i said "no, you are, theyre only 6" long"...she looked as if she was going to vomit LMAO

I bet that's a great spot for fishing, low impact as Wilson would call it, a nice wooden dock.

'shopping cart lake' aka indian lake in little ferry...nice and close and worms, lures or hot dogs will get you a catch (hot dogs got me a 3' thick a$$ eel...i couldnt get a pic of tho, snapped the line before i could get it in)...i like getting out on the dock as it get me higher above the water...easier to work the lure and get something and also get the bait on the good side of the lillies...forgot my corn to go for the bait and wait for carp (left it on my table ...)...next spot ill take them is scarlet oak...wanna try for the LM in there...gotta get more worms tho...these died WAY too fast but looking forward to trying some new rat L traps up there

Indian Lake...that brings back memories, Valley Fair and Harry's Corner....and yes trophy sized shopping carts and a occasional cadaver
Keep those crawlers in a cooler or in the fridge at all times and they will live forever.

i joke when i say shopping cart, ive been going there quite a bit just to get away from things and i have yet to get snagged on ANYTHING at all...i THINK they may have cleaned it out awhile back although im not positive about that...still a nice close place i could hit every day if i wanted to without killing my gas

Wow!! Nice catfish. I bet your daughter was excited to see that on the end of her line. Very nice. I live only a mile away from there, but I haven't fished there in years. I understand that the state also stocks that lake with trout.

@Wilson-- Harry's Corner....mmmm....Boy, do I miss that place. I used to get a chili dog and a double-double (2le egg + 2le sausage). I could almost hear my arteries clogging, but it sure was tasty!!! LOL

yeah she was, her eyes were the size of golf balls lol, and yeah they stock the lake once pre season and 3 or 4 times in season...havent seen a trout pulled out since a week after the last stocking...it gets WAY overfished...now theres barely anyone there at any given time, i was there when they stocked the first time in season...supposed to dump 420 in the water but from what i saw that number seems a bit too high as to what went in
