A good Diawa with a good drag will start around 60 bux.
A Conolon Premier rod at Wal-Mart will run ya about 40 bux = 100 bux. ![]() |

The lowest I can think of for something that would last would be a Shimano Sedona for @ $50 and an Ugly Stik Lite Graphite for $40. That's $90.

I've had my shimano quickfire II reel for 13+ years and never did any maintenance... still use it..
similar to this: http://compare.ebay.com/like/1405316...=sbar&_lwgsi=y match it up w/a sports authority generic blank... otherwise you're looking 60+$ |

If you're willing to spend about $80 I highly recommend getting a Harmonix:
http://www.reeltimedesigns.com/HarmonixRods.html I bought mine from the owner Diane at the Pequest Fisherman's flea market about 2 years ago. They are very nice folks and the rod is GREAT! Also they have a lifetime warranty and are a local NJ company. |
