Decided I would head out for a bit of fishing before a nice BBQ out. I had the feeling it would be a carp kind of a day but I didn't have time to make bait for them. I rigged up for trout and bass and decided to head to Burnham Park pond. I get there and I am setting up my lures and I just hear splashing everywhere. Low-and-behold its massive carp feeding everywhere in the lake
Definitely a good spot for catfishonthelake to try for his carp I am going to have to see if I can hook one of them up for a good fight sometime soon. Keep on keepin' on -Cliffy P.S: everyone have an awesome memorial day! |

Thank you Mr. Cliffy. I was out at Milton Lake yesterday and the carp are undoubtedly spawning. They were splashing, chasing each other, swirling and making quite a fuss. They don't eat when they spawn, but from what I've read, there should be carp that aren't spawning in the same general area. Thanks, I appreciate it. My lady is originally from Mendham and I used to hit that pond on the way back from where her mom lived. I've caught a few nice bass in there and have seen bigger ones.
