Has anyone got a trout with pink meat,Ive sen a few pics of browns and bows with it.Does the fish taste better,and how does it get that way.

Also some private hatcheries use dye in the feed to produce orange colored flesh. Most of the big fish in Spring Lake have this coloration and they do taste a bit better, eventhough they are freshly stocked.

Flesh gray or white, stocked trout, I dont care to eat those,
Red or orange, wild trout, or as stated before been in stream a while, taste good, like a trout should, but please dont take too many, one or two for the table. |
