Default Grilled False Albacore

Since there seems to be a lot of discussion whether these creatures are edible or not, here's a good way to cook them. Prepared some from the Cock Robin trip on Saturday and they were very good.

Ingredients:
3lbs. of FRESH false albacore
1 cup of Italian dressing
Adobo seasoning

Get a 1 gallon storage bag. Stuff with false albacore. Pour in the Italian dressing, shake until dressing is spread over fish, leave in refrigerator and let it marinate for 24 hours. Take fish out of bag, sprinkle with Adobe and place on grill. Cook fish until it flakes with a fork. Enjoy

Disclaimer; The albacore still has a little bit of a fishy flavor but if you like bluefish, you will like this. Also, this fish was prepared for a large amount of people. Only keep what you can cook in one night and adjust repicpe accordingly.

I have done this for a while. Never bled them but always kept them on ice. Gonna ask Bill to bleed mine if I get any on Sunday.

this x 1000000000
I actually had an opportunity to compare between two fish which were treated differently, (one bled and kept in ice, the other left a bucket) and the difference was significant.
ALWAYS bleed and keep them in ice !!!
