Burnt Mills Rd. Lamington to the confluence of the South branch.
8am to 1pm Floated the North branch putting in at Burnt Mills Rd. water was low and gin clear and skies were cloudless, tough conditions. Massive bug hatch at the confluence of the N and S branches this morning. No sooner did I tell my friend I never see tires in the Lamington, we found a tire, pulled !!! My friend insists on using the big heavy top water lures in the low gin clear water, he held his own, I did ok with the Keitechs. We had over 20 SMB come to hand today, saw some big ones and lost a few big ones also.
Saw a pair of bald eagles, osprey, red tailed hawks, egrets just to name a few.
Pulled at least 7 tires and left 5 truck tires behind unfortunately.
The North branch is very scenic, saw a beaver along the way also.
p.s. still waiting on removal of the deadbeat dam by Rt. 202.
