PROWLER5 - THURS., SEPT. 11TH - OCEAN FLUKE REPORT
Hey gang, let me start out by saying the first thing we did was to put the flag at half mast for the events that happened yesterday and for today being 9/11. We had a nice gang of Prowler 5 regulars on this beautiful day. Although when we got out to the fishing grounds we had a big heave out on the ocean. And you know what that means - the fish usually have lockjaw. We had to work a little harder today and probably fished 11 or 12 pieces before we found the one we were looking for that had big, quality fluke on it at the end of the day. The first pic will be of Paddy and Matt with the pool fish at the end of the day. A beauty, somewhere in the 7lb. class. Have to get the official weight later when we get in. Ben, Big Joe and John had their limit and then some. Gary had a nice flattie and we had ok action on short fluke. Would have had easily a boat limit on big giant sea bass today, but they all had to go back. That always hurts. We stayed out later today to put extra fish in the boat and actually the heave was laying down real nice. Should be very good for tomorrow and great for the weekend. So let’s go fishing. Sailing every day 7:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. except on Mondays - we do our longer trip. Free ice for catch and fresh spearing for bait. Thanks, Capt. Scott and God Bless America.
