DARK HORSE 7/18 - Rolly Ocean Flukes

Out on the Fluke grounds with a good crowd this morning. Strong NNW wind that was a bit more than forecasted.... Was hoping to catch the last bit of the tide before it went against the wind but wasn't that lucky. Tried two different areas to start the morning, both being way too rolly and rough to stay and fish comfortably. Retreated inshore and found a screaming south tide against the wind, go figure. Bounced around and finally found some conditions we could work with. Had to make quick drifts as the pieces of snaggy bottom the fish were on were very small, but the action was good. Loads of shorts coming up everywhere we looked, with every piece giving us a few keepers. Had to keep bouncing piece to piece to stay on them, but we made it happen. Definitely not easy fishing with the wind against tide conditions! Appreciate everyone fishing hard through the snags to catch what we did.

Back at it tomorrow! Weather looks good, wind goes back out of the east so we should have a good drift.
