Mother’s Day fishing 🎣
Went ultralight jigging this evening in 70 degrees Back Brook on the outgoing, full moon flood tide. Weather was sunny and warm with a strong northeasterly breeze. Caught and released 27 red breasted sunfish, 2 white perch and an 11.5” black crappie with 1/32 oz twister tail jigs on 2 lb test line. The creek was covered with vegetation. Got debris on my lure on nearly every cast. Saw a box turtle near the creek. Cut briars to make the trail usable. Took pics. Mosquitoes were biting.
