swartswood ice report

I went to big swartswood lake today and found the lake down about 4ft, the ice was 10 " where i was fishing and there was about 9 other anglers fishing the lake in different spots. It was jigging only for me today. I fished 14' to 6' i found some fishable weeds in 8' and that is where i got 5 slime darts and one perch on a #4 rippin rap. I did get one small slimer on the marmooska and meal worm jig but they did not want that today. one of the pickerel was a "HAMMER" at 20 inches. the other ones were average size.the perch was 10" all fish were released to fight another day. here is a pic of the biggest slimer.

Myself and Rob were out there Monday. The Perch bite was fire and I had a few absolute slobs. Man that place is a gem. Glad you had fun out there Badger.
