GAMBLER --Very Good Sea Bass with Hake and Fluke!
Gambler was out today with some of our regulars and a group with Joe and Chris of NJ Multi Species Podcast. Very fun group.
We had a great trip, filling the coolers with mixed sized sea bass and a good amount of nice ling. Some bigger sea bass this trip. Seems like the jigging guys hook-up every cast By noon we had a full catch of bass, so we ran in for a couple drifts for fluke. Our first drift caught just a few short fluke but our second drift, over some rough bottom, we landed 3 keeper fluke. Julia was out with us, targeting the flatties, and was rewarded with 2 keepers including the pool winner --4.75lbs --plus her limit of sea bass. Tomorrow (Sunday) still has some spots available. We leave by 8. Monday is our 10 hour trip, leaving by 6AM, still has a good amount of room. *All our trips are sailing at reduced capacity for your comfort *Heated cabin with hot-food galley *Book on-line or show-up at the dock --if we are not fully booked, we will gladly get you on-board.
