Me Mike, Jake and Sven decided to jump on the Mimi yesterday. Wasn’t sure what to expect since the reports have been hit or miss. Had a lot of short life and a mix of keepers all around the boat before 1:00 or so. Captain Kenny had one that had to be 8 or 9 lbs. Once the wind dropped out fishing was on the slow side with a fish here and there no matter how many moves Captain Ken made.
I know one guy had 7 ORL, more then a few guys with their limits some with none and some with 1 or 2. Jake had the hot hand on our crew Jigging up 6 ORL, I had 1 and Mike and Sven had none. White crabs definatley out fished the greenies. I was kind of worried about Sven. He spent most of the day pacing around the deck talking to himself. I made sure he had the Blackfishless Crisis Hotline number. All in all a great day with near perfect weather. Captain Kenny and crew did a great job taking caring of us and put in a long day. Boat left at 6:30 and we didn’t get back to the dock until 4:30.
