RB Stripers

I ventured out Christmas Eve and found tons of bait in Raritan Bait but the only readings way back in the channel were a couple boats had a slow pick jigging. Gannets were stuffed but occasionally there were a half dozen crashing bait but no marks under them. Then I decided to take a peak outside and saw working gulls right at the tip over huge piles of bait. I dropped a line and was hooked up within a minute. I made a few more passes and released 2 keeping one for the pot. The water inside and out was 40-41 deg.
