Default Poachers - What to do

Yesterday during a full blown bluefish blitz I noticed this guy who had his 3 fish limit (on a rope) BUT was burying many more bluefish around the area he was fishing. He clearly knew about the regulations - Is there a # to call to report people who are not following the rules? BTW- very strong bluefish bite the last two days.

Operation Game Thief #1-855-OGT-TIPS is the number for Fish, Game & Wildlife 24 hrs a day/7 days a week. This is for hunting, fishing and trapping violations ONLY.

1-877-WARN-DEP for other Environmental Emergencies. (Spills, etc)

You can also write them an e mail when you get home and describe in as much detail as you can, a little after the fact but every bit helps.

There is a MUCH bigger problem than this going on. There are people taking multiple government pensions. I don't agree with this bluefish law as snapper fishing probably saved my life as a youth. There really needs to be investigations and laws on the books for these pension poachers and thieves. They don't take a few extra fish a couple of times a year...they bilk the system for 25 years and much more.

Please keep things in perspective!!

Video them, the fish, their car, and their boat.

Without evidence of the overcatch the F&G guys can only talk to them.

I have a F&G Investigators cell # on my speed dial. Pictures & videos memorialized.

If they were burying fish I doubt they had a permit.

And no one is above the law. We don’t choose the laws we want to follow. That is anarchy.

This email stream should be about what a terrible law this is and how we should remove the people who put this law into place. It hurts kids who used to love snapper fishing and kept them out of trouble and happy doing something good. This law was created by "adults" who enjoy taking good things away from children. This is a shame and the creators of these horrible laws should be brought to account. It's time to expose them and get them out of our government so that kids can be kids again and maybe those "adults" can get a real job and a real life.
