It Must Be Fall When... - 10/19/19

....the slaps are crushing bass lures.

Got a late start on Saturday and headed north looking for brown bass but they were no where to be found. I was fishing ledges with the tube and picked up some hefty crappie to 13.5" (i will get that skillful angler..grr) they were thumping the jig harder than bass.



Also picked up a couple of greenies along the weed lines on the drop shot.

That place has some huge Crappie that’s for sure. Well done Squatch! Those are some good eating size right there. Well, I mean if you wanted to eat em’! Lol! Nice Bass as well sir!

likely the last kayak trip of the year. temps are getting to the point where you need to be wearing cold weather gear and that just looks way too uncomfortable to me.

really enjoying the advantages of the yak. the fact i can throw & go is really appealing. I can also check out smaller water bodies and rivers. there are limited # of places i can take the big boat

Damn right!! The mouths on those slabs would be able to fit some good sized bait!! Nice bass as well! I was out yesterday and they had me working for every little bite. The fall bite is definitly ON!
