Was looking for a hot Bass bite...NO GO

Started throwing a spinner bait and BIBLICAL pickerel; continued and caught a few pickerel and then started to fish what was left of the lilly pads and must have caught at least 20 of these guys, small pike to 15 inches. Guess this years stocking? Hard hitting and lots of action so not so bad. Caught a few yellow perch, bluegill, and crappie to finish the day. Not bad for first day fishing since getting back from Japan.
