August 19, 2019:
Action hit the Sandy Hook shores as Phil of the Tackle Box in Hazlet said 3- to 5-pound bluefish invaded the area from the tip of Sandy Hook down to Parking Lot C. Choppers were whacking metals and cut baits all day long and some anglers reported over 30 fish caught on a day out. Time for Rammie to get in the fun..next week...Cajun red all ready to go and get them... |

Thank you for forwarding the info Rammie... Would not be surprised to find Spanish mackerel in the mix. Love them! Good eats! Stocked up on 3/4 ounce crippled herrings, which resemble the rain fish in the surf. Caught 1 mackerel last week. Bled um, slice and dice and the sashimi was delicious .....
