Kayak past 2 weekends

Was out 4/7 and 4/13 in the yak the past two weekends. First Sunday just ok with 5 fish caught, 3 were keeper size but nothing crazy all cookie cutter 28-32". This past Saturday, was out for 2.5 hours and caught 12 fish in 2 hours all casting shads on a 1 oz. jig head. 3 fish over 20lbs with one of those going over 30 lbs (and straightened out the hook on my jig head). Epic day. All released to spawn except one which inhaled the jig and was gut hooked/bleeding so took home for dinner even though I didn't want to. Better than throwing back with little chance of surviving anyway.
