Best Place to Find Some Fishing Friends? :)

Hey all,

Been stalking these forms for a while now and decided it was time to join up!

What would be the best way to meet some people to fish with! I tend to end up alone on the yak or shoreline and it tends to be more fun with a buddy or two (sadly my friends are either way too busy or not the fishing types...).

welcome to the site. i do not know what whackos capt topaz is referring to you will find out the good guys on here are willing to help with some good stories for your entertainment. you will probably run into some of us out there as well. untill then tight lines

However, I fish random small lakes generally near Kinnelon and I will be heading to Rykers Lake on Thursday :] With some hope of catching something nice. Hah.

Most of the regular posters on this forum fish so often you will inevitably run into them on the water or at the boat ramps. I have seen a lot of people from this forum on the water and even in the supermarket.

I've introduced myself to a few NJ-Fishing people when I see them, but I usually don't say anything when I see them because I'm awkward and avoid people.

Around Christmas time there is a meet-and-greet.
