I made it out to a local lake in Union County Sat and in addition to a few LMBs not worth posting I caught this 4.5 lb beast. She put up a tremendous fight and snapped my line when I tried to lift her out of the water. I was not losing this fish so I jumped in and basically wrestled the thing on to the bank. I managed to get a hook through my palm for my trouble (it was worth it). I also saw TONS of bass cruising the shallows. I didn’t see any on the beds yet but it won’t be long. I have to say, pre-spawn is definitely my favorite time of the year!
