Default chunky bass

Njsquatch and I had pretty good action last saturday after the njf&w meeting. Probably fished less than 3 hours but had good numbers and this one chunky bass. all the pickerel and bass on tip ups came off a deep drop weed edge and the crappie were in deeper water near the bottom mostly.

Attend meeting; get chunky fish

That seems to be a fact or a great coincidence.

nice bass chris. i have only gotten a couple of crappies so far and good numbers of perch. the crappies were shallow and the perch both deep and shallow. sounds like i need to look at the deeper water for the crappies. cool report thanks

I would love to meet up with you guys on the next outing, I just got my first ice rod this year and could definitely use some pointers. Chrisper - Just started following you on IG, that's a nice chunker right there!

deeper water near some cover is where i usually find the crappie both summer and winter. though no big ones this year through the ice yet.

well looks like the ice in a few places may have held up pretty good. we'll be out somewhere hopefully, maybe one of the weekends coming up.
