Got out on the river for a much needed overnighter in the recreation area with the kayaks. 5 of us camping, fishing, burning sh*t, etc. . As usual, focused on the deeper water with a variety of jigs. Had a few cookie cutter 14"-16" fish until this old war horse engulfed my bladebait in 30ft of water. Fun battle on the St.Croix Eyecon rod with multiple jumps and lots of bulldogging. Taped out at 21.5", my new personal best. Packed up camp around 11am after a nice wood fire breakfast.
