Aw Briansnat. I love that she's a little Tom-boyish. Or a lot I should say. For Memorial Day we went to a resort on Lake George, NY where they also have a pool. She brought a friend along with her too and they were the only 2 girls with fishing poles. They played in the pool and with the other kids but by the 2nd day there, we were at the dock at 7:30am with her fishing pole and tackle. By the afternoon, the other parents with little girls had to go buy fishing poles for them too. They took up most of their time fishing. She even impressed some other people on the dock who were catching nothing. And of course them making a fuss over her baiting the hook and taking off her own fish just made it even more thrilling for her. I love it! When I am not able to take her fishing due to other responsibilities, she calls her god-father (who's only child is all grown) and he takes her.

I really hope she doesn't outgrow it. She's 8 1/2 now and would rather go fishing than go to the beach.

Her friends and soccer were all she was into. I had hoped it was a phase but she's 24 now and still has no interest in outdoors stuff, other than playing soccer.

I'm somewhat jealous of my friend whose daughters love to go fishing with him whenever they are home.
