Fishergal in the making
I haven't logged in here in quite some time. I've been consumed with life in general, and fishing pretty often. In fact, my little mini me https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/43.../841/s560x.jpg
has taken up quite the liking to fishing. When I first started out on this board I remember one of my first posts being to a thread asking "What's your tacklebox look like?" of which my reply was a photo of en empty tacklebox. Well, I'm proud to say my little girl has a photo for that - https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/32.../841/u3etq.jpg Just a few more to share: Caught from the Tomhannock with a spoon: https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/32...r/829/flre.jpg Mouth full of bacon so she could hold up the new shirt we bought her: https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/32...r/853/npix.jpg She baits her own hooks, takes off her own fish, and even tries changing her own tackle. Oh, she also loves to catch bait fish and put them on the hook to catch bigger fish: https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/32.../841/dhwh2.jpg My little girl...nothing prissy about her! https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/32...r/822/y9ci.jpg |

Re: Fishergal in the making
Lucky you! I wish our daughter was into fishing and the outdoors. When she was young I'd take her fishing and she seemed to enjoy it. We'd also take her hiking, backpacking and wilderness canoe camping and she seemed to have fun, but once she reached high school she no longer had interest in any of that stuff. Her friends and soccer were all she was into. I had hoped it was a phase but she's 24 now and still has no interest in outdoors stuff, other than playing soccer.
I'm somewhat jealous of my friend whose daughters love to go fishing with him whenever they are home. |
