Default Biskits and Porkchops! 10-27-25

Finally a decent weather window opened up yesterday so I went for it. It was choppy when I first went out but almost became dead calm by late afternoon. I hit a bunch of numbers and picked here and there nothing great. Finally hit a high spot that had sea bass and porgies stacked up on it. Threw back any fish under 13" and keep 5 total. One sea bass was a whopping 18" and one porgy was 14". Clam was the bait of choice. It just goes to show these fish do hang around after all the bad weather we have had. You just have to find them! Saw plenty of striper blitz's on the way back with birds everywhere! This is my final trip for the year since my marina season ends. It was a decent year fishing wise but su*ked weather wise. Now it will be party boats or open charters for me. Tight lines all!

The head boats gave up too early on bottom fish ... I guess more fares want to catch stripers.. I would have thought more fares would rather bottom fish... guess not...

People like to catch them 40lb stripers that they have to release. I prefer to fish the bay for the smaller ones on light tackle and shads or top waters!
