Interesting video that I couldn't quite follow. Me, not you I'm sure.
Two questions:
How much tackle do you bring with you on a trip to the surf?
We eat out 3 to 5 times a week. I understand you are a chef. Are you working in a Monmouth County location?

1 or 2 rods, I have a rod stand that works well for holding up to 3 combos. But generally just 1 rod and a backpack, I do overpack but here's a video going over the usual stuff I bring on a typical trip -
