8/3/25
Nice day back on the fluke grounds today after the blow. Picked away them today. First two drops in the deep were duds today loads of Seabass anyway. Worked our way in and found some pretty good life with loads of shorts and some nice quality keepers coming up with some 4-6lbers in the mix. Bite slowed down mid day drift got funky, bounced around checking some areas and picked at some shorts and keepers. Had a shot of keepers again to end the day with some decent short life. Had limits around the boat today with some others just shy. Bucktail Dave boated a 41 pound black drum that ate his bucktail on the drop, along with his limit of fluke. We are chartered tommorow. Open boat on Tuesday. Stay tuned.
