Default Pocono Trout Slammin' - Easter 2025

Perfect water temperature of 54 degrees and lots of insect activity. 58 degree air temperature. Mostly sunny sky.

Lots of .5 lb. - 1.5 lb. trout. I landed one 24-inch lunker rainbow, probably a 5-pounder.

The trout were very interested in spinners; not so much plugs or spoons.

Great catch! Any particular spinner they seemed to like?

I find that when the trout are biting, it doesn't matter which spinner you choose. On this outing I used a #2 Blue Fox and a #3 Mepps. You can see them in the photos.

I did catch one rainbow with a sinking plug which I like better than the floating ones.
