My budget is $250 for the rod . I have an Avet SXJ I can use

The SXJ will be great for rig fishing but a bit too heavy for finesse jig fishing so I'd assume you want a rod for rig fishing to pair with the SXJ.
Any of the jigging world conventional rods will be fine and you want the M action 7 foot rods. IMO the rods are not as important on the rig fishing side because feel or sensitivity is not as much as a factor as it is on the jigging side. The Nexus @ $149 should be fine.
