I could be wrong, but those look more like Redbreast Sunfish than Bluegills,,, Redbreast are more of a sunfish of rocky streams than bluegills, are readily caught in fall and are typically caught alongside SMB in the same areas.

Noted, I'll make sure to crush all my barbs down ! Appreciate the info.
I haven't seen any trash or unnatural objects in the water, but if I do I'll take it with me and dispose of it. I did some some people at the bridge harvest what appeared to be a redbreast or juvenile smallie. I am not sure if that's illegal or not but I was not happy to see it. Hoping fish and game patrols the area. |
