• Gates Open at 7:00 AM year-round
• Gates Close at 5:30 PM from March 1 to October 31
• Gates Close at 4:30 PM from November 1 to Feb 28

The entire MCR property, including hiking trails and boat ramp, will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Please park in designated parking areas only, as there is no parking permitted anywhere else at MCR, including roadside parking. Parking along roadsides and other areas at MCR is for authorized vehicles only.

MCR is a privately owned property, please help us to keep MCR safe and secure for all to enjoy by strictly following our new property visitation hours. Thank you.

"safety and security measures" huh? 🙄 yeah... sure... ok. they've been using that once since 9/11. you ever hear of anyone messing with a lake? yeah, me neither

i understand it's private property so if they chose to put really crappy hours like 7-4:30 or 5:30 that's their choice, but I wonder if this kind of half-access (less than half actually, since it will be closed more hours than open) is maybe the worst outcome for fishermen and DFW resources? the state will keep wasting fish there, where if they just closed it all the way, the state would discontinue stocking and free those resources for use elsewhere.
