Am I missing something? I know the surf was getting pounded but off the beach was ok.

Guys coming out of SRI and Mani , how was it in the inlets?

There is a storm way at sea. 4-5 foot swells @ 8 sec. I was out in the ocean today. Fishing was not very good and the ride back was a bit dicey! Especially when the south wind picked up in the afternoon and the tail end of the outgoing tide. .

Got my first fluke today, the swells were pretty tough on the surf.

Agreed the ride home around 3 pm was kinda crappy but the day was def fishable. Perfect example of weather forecasts keeping people away.

MI was not too bad as long as you stayed away from the south side where the sand bar is it was fine, even with the outgoing tide.
