Default Keyport seahawk - last chance tog followed by more stripes

Didn’t get a chance to post last week, but we got some info from Joey da fish and tried spring season tog for the first time. Had to work for it, but managed a handful of keepers and a pretty hefty hog on the jig with some tasty ling mixed in on the bait rig. And even a nice keeper sized seabass That i hope will be waiting for us when the season opens 😉

This weekend we switched back to stripers and put some keepers in the boat in the drizzly morning before the traffic got annoying and we left.

Way to go Chrisper! Some nice fish there..

We're usually not in the water until the middle of April and then it's usually a few local shake down cruises so we miss the spring Blackfish season. Was nice getting in early this year and fishing did not disappoint. 5 Double Digit tog this spring and a nice diversion from all the Rona stuff...
